KIGALI, 14 May 2026 — Cauridor, a B2B payment infrastructure company operating across 36 African countries, has been named Disrupter of the Year at the Africa CEO Forum Awards, held during the gala dinner of the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali, Rwanda.
The award recognises Cauridor’s work building payment infrastructure that makes cross-border transactions cheaper, faster, and more accessible across the continent.
Dr. Oumar Rafiou Barry, CEO and Founder of Cauridor, was present at the ceremony to receive the award. “Honoured to have won the Disrupter of the Year Award among African companies. This milestone is a testament to our team’s dedication to rewriting the rules and driving financial innovation across Africa.” said Dr. Barry.
Six awards were presented during the forum to organisations and executives recognised for their impact across fintech, manufacturing, mobility, banking, and digital infrastructure. Other honourees included East African Holding, recognised for its diversified operations across Ethiopia; Spiro, for its electric mobility operations across multiple African countries; Ecobank Group, for its gender empowerment initiatives; Cassava Technologies, for its AI and digital infrastructure investments; and Abdul Samad Rabiu of BUA Group, who received the CEO of the Year award for his contributions to Nigeria’s industrial sector.
The Africa CEO Forum Awards celebrate organisations and leaders driving innovation and economic transformation across the continent; with the Disrupter of the Year Award recognising African companies demonstrating bold and innovative approaches to solving structural challenges, with measurable impact across markets. At its core, it recognises a deeper truth: building African solutions to African frictions, with the ambition to scale globally from day one.
