Description

The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting reconciliation and operations activities across multiple financial platforms, partners, and payment channels. The role focuses on analyzing transaction data, identifying discrepancies, improving reporting accuracy, and helping optimize operational and reconciliation processes.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced fintech environment with high transaction volumes and multiple stakeholders.

Your Impact Zone
  • Perform daily reconciliation analysis across bank accounts, mobile money platforms, internal systems, and partner statements
  • Investigate transaction discrepancies, unmatched items, failed transactions, and operational exceptions
  • Monitor transaction flows and identify patterns, operational risks, or inconsistencies
  • Prepare reconciliation, exception, and operational reports for management
  • Support Operations, Finance, and external partners in resolving transaction-related issues
  • Maintain accurate reconciliation records, reporting files, and audit trails
  • Develop automation tools, dashboards, and reporting improvements using Python, SQL, or similar tools
  • Contribute to process optimization and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Support internal and external audits by providing reconciliation data and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and financial controls
Your Toolkit for the Role
  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or related field
  • Experience with Python, SQL, Excel, or data automation tools
  • Good understanding of financial operations, reconciliations, and transaction flows
  • Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or operations environments is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with large datasets and multiple systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities
