Position title
Business Development Manager, Collections
Description

This role launches Cauridor's Collections pipeline from scratch — building the partner and market pipeline and converting new collection opportunities, with input from the MD and Finance. Uniquely among Cauridor's hunter roles, this one also farms the earliest won partners (30% of time) until pipeline volume justifies a dedicated Collections farmer. That farming responsibility is intentionally temporary: this role launches the pipeline, and farms early partners only until volume justifies handing that work to a dedicated farmer.

Your Impact Zone

New Market & Partner Acquisition (70%)

  • Build the partner and market pipeline for Collections.
  • Convert new collection opportunities with input from the MD and Finance.
  • Identify new markets and partner types worth pursuing.

Interim Partner Farming (30%, temporary)

  • Manage the earliest won partners directly until a dedicated Partnerships Manager, Collections is hired and ramped.
  • Actively track when pipeline volume justifies the farmer hire, and flag the transition point rather than waiting to be asked.

Transition & Hand-off

  • Hand off farmed partners cleanly to the dedicated Farmer once hired, with full context documented.
  • Return fully to acquisition once the hand-off is complete — the 30% farming split should shrink to zero over time.
Your Toolkit for the Role
  • 7–10+ years in business development within payments or remittance, with specific experience building a pipeline from zero — this role launches a market, it doesn't inherit one.
  • Demonstrated ability to hold a dual mandate credibly: converting new opportunities while personally keeping early accounts healthy, without either slipping.
  • Experience converting opportunities jointly with MD and Finance input, not operating independently of them.
  • Fluent English; French required given Collections' West Africa footprint.
