Position title
Business Development Manager, Disbursements
Description
This role owns new-partner acquisition for Disbursements — bringing in new IMTO, fintech, and payment partners and carrying each one through qualification to commercial hand-off. It's a pure acquisition mandate: once a partner is won, ongoing relationship management sits with the Partnerships Manager, Disbursements, not here.
Your Impact Zone
New Partner Acquisition
- Identify, prospect, and qualify new IMTO, fintech, and payment partners for disbursements.
- Build and manage a pipeline from first contact through qualification.
- Negotiate initial commercial terms with new partners.
Hand-off & Commercial Continuity
- Own each deal through commercial hand-off to the Partnerships Manager, Disbursements, ensuring nothing is lost in transition.
- Document partner context clearly enough that the Partnership function can pick up without reconstructing history.
Pipeline Discipline
- Operate within the Commercial Operations/RevOps rhythm — consistent pipeline definitions, forecast discipline, and data quality.
- Feed clean, reliable data to the Central Data Analysis Function for market and commercial intelligence.
Your Toolkit for the Role
- 7–10+ years in business development specifically within cross-border payments, remittance, or fintech infrastructure — not general B2B sales.
- Proven track record personally closing deals with IMTOs, payment processors, or fintechs, not agent/SME-level sales.
- Existing relationships within the IMTO and payment-partner ecosystem — this role should be able to open doors from day one, not build a network from scratch.
- Working knowledge of payment rails, settlement mechanics, and how commercial terms are structured in this space.
- Fluent English; French required for Francophone-market coverage.
What you will find in the Cauridorian Space
- A real opportunity to contribute to financial inclusion and help shape the future of finance across Africa

- A fast-moving, international environment where collaboration is natural and ideas are welcomed
